Nova Mare · Our story

A new intelligence for life at sea.

Nova Mare is the Intelligent Marine Operating System, connecting vessel information, maintenance, crew operations and intelligent assistance in one shared environment.

One vessel. Many responsibilities. A shared intelligence.

01 / Our origin

Born from life
aboard.

A vessel is more than her systems. She is the people who care for her, and the knowledge they carry.

Life aboard brings real responsibility: keeping a vessel ready, supporting her crew and making decisions with the information at hand. Too often, that information sits in scattered manuals, separate records and disconnected systems.

Nova Mare grew from that experience. Not to replace the judgement of owners, captains and crew, but to give them clearer information, a shared picture and tools designed around the work they do every day.

02 / Meet Nova

Intelligence with
a human purpose.

Meet Nova. The intelligence within Nova Mare.

Nova helps you ask questions, find vessel information and make sense of the records available to you. She connects the conversation to the selected vessel and the places where work happens, while keeping decisions and approvals with people.

One intelligence across the experience. Guided by your context, grounded in your access.

03 / Connected ecosystem

One picture.
Connected perspectives.

Vessel awareness. Maintenance and diagnostics. People aboard. Documents and knowledge. Parts and service. Executive insight. Different responsibilities, connected by the same vessel information.

Connected ecosystem / Vessel awareness

Know the vessel. Understand the picture.

The Bridge brings the day into focus. My Vessel holds the equipment record and Digital Twin; Live Vessel adds readings from supported connected systems, with their source and age made clear. No connection means no invented live values.

  1. 01

    Understand

Review the equipment record and manual in My Vessel and Vessel Library.

  2. 02

    Investigate

Describe the symptom in BoatMD and review the diagnostic findings.

  3. 03

    Plan the work

Review maintenance needs; explore parts or service if required.

  4. 04

    Keep perspective

Use recorded work and financial evidence to inform Executive oversight.

People review the evidence, choose the next step and approve the work. This is an example, not a live vessel feed or an automatic sequence.

04 / Progress with purpose

Moving yachting forward. Thoughtfully.

Cyber IntelligenceComing soon

As technology advances, the tools supporting life at sea should advance with it. Artificial intelligence offers new ways to connect knowledge, support maintenance, strengthen crew coordination and help people make better-informed decisions.

Greater connectivity also brings greater responsibility. Protecting a vessel increasingly means caring for her digital systems alongside her physical ones. AI can help teams recognize emerging cyber risks, understand vulnerabilities and respond with greater awareness.

Nova Mare’s ambition is to bring these possibilities into everyday yachting through thoughtful technology, guided by human expertise and respect for the trust placed in those aboard.

Cyber Intelligence is a planned experience, not currently active vessel protection.

05 / The founders

Experience aboard.
A shared vision ahead.

The people behind Nova Mare bring the realities of life at sea to the technology supporting it.

Gabriel Attenborough

Gabriel Attenborough

Founder & CEO, Nova Mare

MCA Master 3000 GT

Gabriel understands what it means to be entrusted with a vessel, her people, and the confidence of those who own her.

His experience at sea inspired Nova Mare: one intelligent environment connecting the vessel, her crew and the knowledge they depend on. Built around the realities of life aboard, his vision is to make information clearer, decisions better informed and daily responsibilities easier to manage.

At the heart of his work is a simple belief: the people who care for a vessel deserve technology designed with the same care.

Bryan Kattenburg

Bryan Kattenburg

Co-founder & COO, Nova Mare

His focus is simple: make technology easier to use, more useful in practice and worthy of the people who rely on it.

06 / Our commitments

Care in every decision.

Thoughtful design

Clear information and purposeful tools, shaped around real responsibilities aboard.

Human oversight

Intelligence supports judgement. People review recommendations and approve consequential actions.

Responsible access

Vessel information follows approved membership and permissions, not a person’s job title.

Honest availability

Beta connections and future capabilities are named clearly. Missing data stays missing, not invented.

Our shared horizon

For the yacht.
For her crew.
For what comes next.

A clearer, more connected life aboard. Built with care for the people who make it possible.
